Anthem Days

      &    Sun March 24, 2017 10am – 4pm

Description: Anthem residents and visitors from across the Valley enjoy perfect weather and the premier showcase of the community. This free, family-friendly event includes a business expo, craft vendors, egg hunt, carnival, food vendors and live entertainment. The event is open to the public. Admission and parking are free. CERT will be providing First Aid and discussing Disaster Preparedness with visitors. Wear your CERT uniform. You can either bring food and drinks or purchase onsite.

Anthem Chamber Expo
When: Sat, April 13, 2019
Where: ACE Hardware Plaza, 3440 W Anthem Way, Anthem AZ 
Description: The Anthem Area Chamber of Commerce will host its first ever local business expo and career fair, Business Forward Expo 19, on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from nine o’clock am until four o’clock pm. The event will focus on supporting local businesses. Local residents and job seekers are encouraged to attend Business Forward Expo 19 to meet local business owners and get access to special discounts and promotions. In addition to business vendors and the career center, there will be live demonstrations throughout the day and entertainment. CERT's role is to provide event first aid and talk to attendees about disaster preparedness. Arrive by 8:00 am to assist with setup and plan to stay for an hour after the event for tear down. Wear your CERT uniform. We will be working out of a tent without the CERT trailer. You can bring lunch and snacks or purchase them there.

CPR Training
When: Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 6pm – 10pm
Where: Daisy Mountain Fire Station 141, 43814 N New River Road, New River, AZ 85087 (map)
Description: CPR and AED for the Community and Workplace, utilizing the American Safety and Health Institute curriculum and certified instructors. Class format is partially lecture and partially practical (hands-on). Completion of the course requires students to demonstrate proficiency on mannequins while on the floor and a short written test. Satisfactory completion of the course entitles you to a certificate valid for two years from date of completion. Registration is required. Space is limited (min: 8 students; max 25 students). The cost is $25 per student, due at the start of class, payable with exact change or check made payable to Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical, but is free to DMFD Citizen Corps Volunteers. NOTE: If you require CPR for the Healthcare Professional this is not the correct class for you.

Class format is partially lecture and partially practical (hands-on). Completion of the course requires students to demonstrate proficiency of skills presented in class and a short written test. Satisfactory completion of the course entitles you to a certificate valid for two years from date of completion. Registration is required. Space is limited (min: 8 students; max 25 students). The cost is $25 per student, due at the start of class, payable with exact change or check made payable to Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical, but is free to DMFD Citizen Corps Volunteers.

Anthem Independence Day Celebration
When: Tuesday, July 3, 2017 6pm – 10pm

Description: Thousands of people Valley-wide come together to celebrate the annual Anthem Independence Day Celebration. Along with the traditional fireworks display, fun rides, activities and festival food, families bring blankets and lawn chairs and sit back to enjoy the spectacular event. Arrive by 4:00 pm to assist with setup and plan to stay for an hour after the event for tear down. We will be the event first aid station, and talk to visitors about disaster preparedness. Please wear your CERT uniform. You may bring dinner and snacks or purchase them there.
