CPR Training
When: Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from 6pm – 10pm
Where: Daisy Mountain Fire Station 143, 35050 S. Old Black Canyon Hwy

Description: CPR and AED for the Community and Workplace, utilizing the American Safety and Health Institute curriculum and certified instructors. This class covers adult, child and infant CPR; adult, child and infant AED; and adult, child and infant choking. Class format is partially lecture and partially practical (hands-on). Completion of the course requires students to demonstrate proficiency on mannequins while on the floor and a short written test. Satisfactory completion of the course entitles you to a certificate valid for two years from date of completion. Registration is required. Space is limited (min: 8 students; max 25 students). The cost is $25 per student, due at the start of class, payable with exact change or check made payable to Daisy Mountain Fire Department, but is free to DMFD Citizen Corps Volunteers. NOTE: If you require CPR for the Healthcare Professional this is not the correct class for you.

First Aid Training

Description: Basic First Aid utilizing the American Safety and Health Institute curriculum and certified instructors. This class covers treatment for a wide range of sudden injuries and sudden illnesses. Class format is partially lecture and partially practical (hands-on). Completion of the course requires students to demonstrate proficiency of skills presented in class and a short written test. Satisfactory completion of the course entitles you to a certificate valid for two years from date of completion. Registration is required. Space is limited (min: 8 students; max 25 students). The cost is $25 per student, due at the start of class, payable with exact change or check made payable to Daisy Mountain Fire Department, but is free to DMFD Citizen Corps Volunteers.

CERT Class SUPPORT
When: 8 consecutive Thursday evenings beginning September 3, 2020

Time: 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Where: Daisy Mountain Fire Department, 43814 N New River Road, New River, AZ 85087 (map)
Description: We are looking for DMFDCC CERT volunteers to help support the next class. We need greeters every night, and on select nights, we need volunteers to help as skill moderators. Greeters will set up the room, welcome students, and assist as needed for the first hour or so, then are welcome to stay as long as they'd like. Skill Moderators will begin as greeters, then assist in guiding students through CERT skills presented that night. We're also asking Skill Moderators to stay the entire night to assist with cleanup at the end. Class runs from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Please arrive no later than 6:30 pm.
