All Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical Public Training and Events have been modified to follow COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Arizona Governor's Office and the CDC. Currently, face coverings are required for all participants.


CPR Training
When: Tuesday, May 6, 2021 from 6pm – 10pm
Where: Daisy Mountain Fire Station 141, 43814 N New River Rd, New River, AZ 85087 (map)
Description: CPR and AED for the Community and Workplace, utilizing the American Safety and Health Institute curriculum and certified instructors. This class covers adult, child and infant CPR; adult, child and infant AED; and adult, child and infant choking. Class format is partially lecture and partially practical (hands-on). Completion of the course requires students to demonstrate proficiency on mannequins while on the floor and a short written test. Satisfactory completion of the course entitles you to a certificate valid for two years from date of completion. Registration is required. Space is limited (min: 8 students; max 25 students). The cost is $25 per student, due at the start of class, payable with exact change or check made payable to Daisy Mountain Fire Department, but is free to DMFD Citizen Corps Volunteers. NOTE: If you require CPR for the Healthcare Professional this is not the correct class for you.

First Aid Training

Description: Basic First Aid utilizing the American Safety and Health Institute curriculum and certified instructors. This class covers treatment for a wide range of sudden injuries and sudden illnesses. Class format is partially lecture and partially practical (hands-on). Completion of the course requires students to demonstrate proficiency of skills presented in class and a short written test. Satisfactory completion of the course entitles you to a certificate valid for two years from date of completion. Registration is required. Space is limited (min: 8 students; max 25 students). The cost is $25 per student, due at the start of class, payable with exact change or check made payable to Daisy Mountain Fire Department, but is free to DMFD Citizen Corps Volunteers.

Learn CCC (Continuous Chest Compression CPR), How to use an AED and Stop the Bleed!
All Three Sessions in One Free 90 minute Class
Description: Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical is presenting a FREE CCC (Continuous Chest CompressionCPR, AED and STOP the Bleed class. This 1-1/2 hour course follows the Arizona Department of Health Services SHARE curriculum and the American College of Surgeons STOP the Bleed curriculum. Class is partially lecture and partially hands-on. No certificate will be issued. Cardiac arrests are common and severe bleeding can be controlled. Many people feel helpless and don’t know what to do. Most cardiac arrests happen at home. When performed correctly, CPR can more than double a victim’s chance of survival. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss within five minutes. This course will teach you what action to take. It may help you save the life of someone you know.

CERT Training

When: 8 consecutive Thursday evenings beginning September 2, 2021

(You must attend all 8 sessions to receive a certificate of completion. There is also a ninth evening of class for anyone who needs to makeup a missed class.)

Description: Daisy Mountain Fire Department is proud to present Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training. Developed by the Department of Homeland Security for Local Community Preparedness, this 24 hours of training is provided FREE of charge. This class is tailored to Arizona and more specifically, the Daisy Mountain communities. Training is open to anyone who is at least 18 years old (minors as young as 14 may take this class provided they are accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian and understand some restrictions apply). Space is limited, register today.

Description: Have you ever wondered what it’s like to fill the shoes of a DMFD firefighter? Now’s the perfect time to find out. This class will allow you to experience firefighter training first hand, regardless of your level of fitness.* Learn about Daisy Mountain Fire District, how calls are dispatched, visit a fire station and see our trucks. Try our equipment, pull a hose, flow water, see our specialized equipment, get certified in CPR and First Aid, or just observe.* Participate in a drill and much more.
Target Audience: Community members of all ages, but must be at least 18 years old to enroll.
Cost: $35.00 per person, due at the start of the first night of class, payable with exact change or check made payable to Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical
