Description: Have you ever wondered what it’s like to fill the shoes of a DMFD firefighter? Now’s the perfect time to find out. This class will allow you to experience firefighter training first hand, regardless of your level of fitness.* Learn about Daisy Mountain Fire District, how calls are dispatched, visit a fire station and see our trucks. Try our equipment, pull a hose, flow water, see our specialized equipment, get certified in CPR and First Aid, or just observe.* Participate in a drill and much more.
Target Audience: Community members of all ages, but must be at least 18 years old to enroll.
Cost: $25.00 per person, due at the start of the first night of class, payable with exact change or check made payable to Daisy Mountain Fire Department

Learn CCC (Continuous Chest Compression CPR)

Learn How to Save A Life!

Description: Daisy Mountain Fire Department is conducting FREE CCC (Continuous Chest CompressionCPR classes. This one-hour course uses the Arizona Department of Health Services SHARE curriculum and does not require mouth-to-mouth contact. Class is partially lecture and partially hands-on. No certificate is issued. Cardiac arrests are common and anyone can learn CPR. Many people feel helpless and don’t know what to do. This course will teach you what action to take. It may help you save the life of someone you know. 
Most cardiac arrests happen at home. When performed correctly, CPR can more than double a victim’s chance of survival.

CPR Training
When: Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 6pm – 10pm
Where: Daisy Mountain Fire Department, 43814 N New River Road, New River, AZ 85087 (map)
Description: CPR and AED for the Community and Workplace, utilizing the American Safety and Health Institute curriculum and certified instructors. Class format is partially lecture and partially practical (hands-on). Completion of the course requires students to demonstrate proficiency on mannequins while on the floor and a short written test. Satisfactory completion of the course entitles you to a certificate valid for two years from date of completion. Registration is required. Space is limited (min: 8 students; max 25 students). The cost is $25 per student, due at the start of class, payable with exact change or check made payable to Daisy Mountain Fire Department, but is free to DMFD Citizen Corps Volunteers. NOTE: If you require CPR for the Healthcare Professional this is not the correct class for you.

First Aid Training
