First Aid Training
When: 
Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 6pm – 10pm
Where: Daisy Mountain Fire Station 141, 43814 N New River Road, New River, AZ 85087 (map)
Description: First Aid for the Community and Workplace, utilizing the American Safety and Health Institute curriculum and certified instructors. Class format is partially lecture and partially practical (hands-on). Completion of the course requires students to demonstrate proficiency of skills presented in class and a short written test. Satisfactory completion of the course entitles you to a certificate valid for two years from date of completion. Registration is required. Space is limited (min: 8 students; max 25 students). The cost is $25 per student, due at the start of class, payable with exact change or check made payable to Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical, but is free to DMFD Citizen Corps Volunteers.

30 Year Anniversary Open House

Description: Join Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical in celebrating our 30 Year Anniversary with an Open House. Visit us on this special day to celebrate and reminisce about how far we've come and how things have changed over the last 30 years. Take time for a fire station tour or an up close look at one of our fire trucks. This is a free, family friendly event. We hope to see you.

Citizen Fire Academy
When: Beginning January 2, 2020 for eight consecutive Thursday nights plus and optional Saturday.

    Thurs, January 16th - 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
    Thurs, January 23th - 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm

    Thurs, February 6th - 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm
OPTIONAL - Saturday - February 8th - 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

Description: Have you ever wondered what it’s like to fill the shoes of a DMFD firefighter? Now’s the perfect time to find out. This class will allow you to experience firefighter training first hand, regardless of your level of fitness.* Learn about Daisy Mountain Fire District, how calls are dispatched, visit a fire station and see our trucks. Try our equipment, pull a hose, flow water, see our specialized equipment, get certified in CPR and First Aid, or just observe.* Participate in a drill and much more.
Target Audience: Community members of all ages, but must be at least 18 years old to enroll.
Cost: $35.00 per person, due at the start of the first night of class, payable with exact change or check made payable to Daisy Mountain Fire & Medical
